• Drought continues to be very bad in Kenya. Crops are withered and animals are dying. Competition for the few water sources is becoming fierce, with children being shouldered out of the way so that livestock can be watered.
• The women of Kenya walk, on average, eight hours carrying 45 lb. of water every day. This is for their families to drink and for cooking, to water crops and nourish livestock. They are the backbone of their communities, doing whatever it takes to sustain their families.
• Water Is Life - Kenya founder, Joyce Tannian, is working in Kenya to help get the people the water they need. With times being so desperate, bringing water to their encampments gives them hope for better lives.

Within these pages, I want to share with you a way to reach out and touch the people of Kenya. I want you to want to help, no matter where you are when you're reading this now! With the current drought, conditions are even more desperate than normal! You can bring these good people clean water, which will touch their lives in so many ways. So I would ask you to take a few moments to read and see how you and I together can really make this world, or at least this part of the world, a little bit better.
